Ali Habib Mayar Chats Entrepreneurial Lessons He’s Learned Along The Way

Throughout his career, Ali Habib Mayar has had what he describes as an entrepreneurial mind. He began in the finance industry and later utilized his expertise to become the CEO of Platinum Rapid Funding Group. He recently answered a few questions and gave us advice:

Can You Tell Us a Little A Bit About Your Current Company, Platinum Rapid Funding Group?

Platinum Rapid Funding Group, provides funding solutions to businesses of all different industries .Often times, it can be challenging for small businesses to obtain funding from banks. We work with them to find a solution that works best for them and provide them with the funding they need.

What Led You Down the Entrepreneurial Path?

There were a lot of different things, so it was not just one factor. One of the most influential factors is that, I like being my own boss. I’ve always wanted the challenge of running a business and watching it develop. Another factor is that I had a vision of a product in mind that was different than what was currently in the market. I think a lot of people jump into be an entrepreneur without really thinking long-term.

What is Your Favorite Thing About Being an Entrepreneur?

The feeling that you get when a customer has a positive experience is unlike anything. It goes to show that all the hard work and stress of being an entrepreneur really pays off.

I enjoy being able to see businesses the money they want and need and use it to improve their business and reach their goals. The only way I can describe it is like a parent seeing their kid accomplish something amazing.

What is One Piece of Advice You’ve Received from a Fellow Entrepreneur that Has Stuck with You?

It’s probably cliché as can be but work hard and then keep working hard. Even in times when you feel like your hard work has not paid off, keep moving forward because you will reach success.

If You Weren’t at Platinum Rapid Funding, What Do You Think You Would Be Doing?

I still to this day enjoy working in sales and in a leadership, so I’d probably still be in finance or sales. I think that is still a field that has a lot of growth and potential, so although I don’t know exactly where I’d be, I’d probably be in some way related to that field.

How Do You Balance Being a Busy Entrepreneur While Raising a Family?

There are definitely challenges when it comes to being an entrepreneur while also raising a family. I think above all else, the two key things are communication and separation.

Communication is important because the family needs to know that your days might be unconventional at times. A lot of entrepreneurs don’t have the standard 9-5 hours so there’s a lot of early mornings and late nights. It’s important to stay connected to your family through communication.

That’s why I also say separation is big. I think there needs to be a separation between family and work. When I go home, I try to leave work and work so I can enjoy and have quality time with my family. If you focus on too much at once it’s hard to think clearly.
