Top Travel Tips on Dallas

For most tourists, Dallas is quite tricky. It has become a lot more hipster and cool too. Still, most tourists visit Dallas for different conferences, events and also meetings. While hotels like Omni Dallas Hotel are ideal corporate getaways, there are certain tips that all kinds of travelers should remember while visiting Dallas. With some of these local tips, it is quite easy to discover Dallas to the fullest:

  • For a shuttle service, you really should opt for Efrogs. It is an independent and operated shuttle-based service which is tip-based. It operates throughout Dallas and is one of the best transport alternatives that you can get. This service pretty much offers free rides for most office workers, restaurant workers as well as bar patrons.
  • It is also widely used for sporting events; which we are pretty sure you may go for if you are planning a quintessential Dallas experience. Additionally, the funky shuttle buses are easily one of the safest and most secure ways to get around Dallas, especially at night. You can also book a brewery tour directly to ensure you get the best of the entire experience. We would also recommend you book yourself in a safe place like Omni Dallas Hotel and then visit the best of places here.
  • For people who want to get the perfect photo of the skyline, we recommend that you visit the southern end of Trinity Groves. It is a beautiful little park where you can park your vehicle for free and then walk up to the park nearby.
  • For people who want to have a slightly different view of the beautiful Reunion Tower, we recommend you head up through the elevators and visit the last floor. You can go to the top floor of the popular Regency Hotel which offers a great skyline view for completely free.
  • Another place we recommend is the Deep Ellum district, which is right outside the city center. It has in its vicinity lovely hotels like Omni Dallas Hotel. It is quite popularly known for its awesome nightlife as well as music venue. But we recommend you plan the visit in the day. You are sure to come across many street art murals, iconic arts and also graffiti adorning the wall here.
  • When it comes to history fans, there is also a section right on Berlin Wall which is situated inside this resort called Hilton Anatole. You will find this in the hotel lobby where you’ be able to find the access for the cocktail bar. For the spacious lobby in the conference room, this place has our top ratings.
  • Lastly, we really love the Bishop Arts District. Appeal to the art lover in you and visit the Deep Ellum district to see unabashed art around the corners.
  • Last but not the least, remember Dallas tends to get quite crowded. We recommend you book your hotel well in advance. With places like Omni Dallas Hotel in options, ensure that you get the best of it all!

Six Months or Six Days: When’s the Best Time to Book a Hotel?

It’s time to start planning your vacation but when is the best time to book a hotel? Why pay more for the same hotel just because you didn’t book it at the right time?

Learning the best day to book hotels can save you thousands of dollars depending on where you are trying to stay. Continue reading this article and learn when to book a hotel to get the best rates.

Availability

If you’re booking hotel that is very in-demand, you the sooner you can book, the better. If you want to make sure you get a room, you shouldn’t worry as much about the price because an in-demand hotel isn’t likely to come with a discount price tag.

Show Me the Money

If your main goal is to save money then booking as soon as you want to go might not be the best option. Knowing how far in advance as well as which day of the week you should book a hotel makes it easier for you to get a good deal.

How Far in Advance

Booking a hotel one month in advance looks like the best time to get the best deal. If you book too far in advance, you could end up paying more than if you wait a little closer to your time of departure.

Prices do increase as you get closer to your travel date but if you look at how much they were two or three months in advance, you’ll find the two or three months in advance price is higher than the ones closer to your travel date.

Which Day of the Week

Booking your hotel on the weekend is the best time when you want to get a good deal. Try booking on Friday or Saturday to find the best prices but don’t select a date where you’re going to check out on Sunday.

Since most people travel and check out on Sunday due to having to be back to work on Monday, this will make your stay extra expensive. If you’re able to be flexible with your dates, it is helpful to check out on Monday or another day throughout the week.

Is Your Location Flexible?

When you want to enjoy some fun in the sun, there are a lot of options but if you keep an eye out for good deals on beaches and aren’t set on one particular vacation spot, you can also save money this way. Maybe go to Florida vs. heading off to Hawaii!

Now You Know the Best Time to Book a Hotel

Now that you know the best time to book a hotel, you can save money on your next trip. Why stop learning with this article? Our site has many other educational resources that can help you plan your vacation, have the best trip and more.

Javea – Officially a Near Perfect Environment

Plenty of places in the Costa Blanca are guilty of hyperbole when describing the paradise of their beaches. However, Javea has something official to back up its claims. The World Health Organisation has officially declared the environment and climate in Javea to be ‘near-perfect’. While nothing is really perfect, Javea officially comes very close.

This climate features 320 days of sunshine a year, meaning you’ll rarely have to plan for rainy days. The near-perfect label even excuses it from humidity, the air is crisp enough to allow you to relax in the heat rather than bake. With such a good balance of air, sun, and natural beauty, Javea is one of the best places in the Costa Blanca to go to for the health benefits of a great climate.

While the near-perfect atmosphere is all over the area, what is there specifically to do here?

The Beaches and Sea

The main beach in Javea is the Playa El Arenal. This area holds the coveted Blue Flag, which lets you know it has the highest standards of cleanliness. This beach is large and wide, with access to the clearest blue ocean you’re likely to find. With so many bright days, you’ll have plenty of time to soak up the sun.

Around the beach are the typical authentic tapas bars you’d expect in this sort of area. However, it is at night when the beach really comes alive. Along the promenade, there is a full catalogue of summer events, from craft fares to street food and movies on the beach. The beach is the centre of so many activities in Javea.

If sunbathing isn’t really your thing, there is a whole different side to Javea’s coast. Further along this area there are naturally formed caves ripe for exploring. As well as a fun trip into the rocks, there is snorkelling and scuba diving here that let you get up close and personal with the clear sea.

The National Park

Javea’s near-perfect climate also makes it a great spot for wildlife. This is reflected in its National Park, Mount Montgó. This enclosure is home to rare plants and fauna, along with some really unique wildlife. Owls, reptiles, amphibians, and even mammals share the park. It is the perfect relaxing day trip when you want to do something a little more active than soaking up the sun.

With such a great climate in Javea, it is perfect for long walks in nature. This mountainous park is too big to really experience in just a single visit. If you’re looking for somewhere to appreciate the diversity of nature, Javea offers that type of relaxation.

Wonderful properties in Javea often goes fast considering how attractive the area is. You could enjoy a near-perfect atmosphere for yourself if you found some property for sale in Javea. With so many events going on around the beach, you will definitely have a full calendar. While there isn’t any property for sale in Javea’s national park, there is plenty just a short hop away. If you want to experience a near-perfect environment year-round, then you need to find some property for sale in Javea.

Best Bangkok Spots for Midnight Food Trips

In the past, options were thin on the ground if you were craving for something hearty and greasy to help you into bed and hopefully evade a pounding hangover in the morning—the only places open after midnight in Bangkok were noodle and rice soup shops. You can still have khao tom at Pochana 55 or Saengchai Pochana, both long-running institutions that have saved many a drunken clubgoer. Nowadays, though, you can hit everything from Chinese food to burgers, pancakes to pizza, even after hours. Below are some of our favorites:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Raan Jay Fai

Michelin-star food is within your reach as long as you get there before 2 in the morning; Jay Fai’s shophouse eatery slings out crab omelets bursting at the seams with meat and drunken noodles topped with fat, juicy prawns that will safely deliver you into dreamland. Visiting the place after midnight also means that you avoid the crowds and the long wait for a table—most people can be stuck waiting in line for up to three hours during peak times, but the queue thins considerably as the night gets deeper.

25 Degrees

Located on the ground floor of the Pullman Hotel G on Silom, 25 Degrees is a 24-hour honest-to-goodness American diner, serving up burgers, fries, and all manner of heavy, greasy treats to line your stomach with. They also have an extensive breakfast menu if the sun has come up on your late-night adventures, so you can gorge on pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs instead before tumbling off to bed. It’ll be a step up from fast food, and you’ll thank yourself in the morning for going—or whenever it is you happen to wake up.

Soho Pizza

New Yorkers often seek out pizza to cap off a night of heavy partying, and now you can, too: Soho Pizza is from the mind of a self-proclaimed international pizza consultant named Anthony Falco, a man who once worked the pizza peel at Roberta’s, a legendary Brooklyn pizzeria. Prices may be on the steep side but the portions are man-sized—American, if you will—go for the classic pepperoni slice or try their eggplant parmigiana, a limited edition offering.

Train Night Market Ratchada

Staying in a Ratchada area hotel? You’re in luck, Train Night Market Ratchada is the new cool night market in the city. It’s where you go if you want cheap but filling eats; here, you’ll find rows and rows of hawker stalls selling everything from marinated crab to meat skewers grilled over charcoal, shrimp by the bucket, and massive hunks of barbecue pork ribs. Stuff your face or get even more soused, as there’s no shortage of bars that offer cold beer to wash down all that hard liquor you’ve already consumed.

Took Lae Dee

With a name that translates to “Cheap and Good”, what’s not to like at this chain restaurant? This is the most famous late-night restaurant in Bangkok, a haven for the tired, the downtrodden, and the hungover. You can order a quintessentially western breakfast meal consisting of bacon and eggs the way you like them, toast and jam, or fried rice with pork or chicken. Want tom yum kung to settle the stomach instead? They’ve got that. Indian-style chicken curry? Took Lae Dee has got you covered there, too. “All-encompassing” is one way to describe the diverse menu selection, which means that whatever it is you might be craving, you’ll probably find it here. The restaurants are connected to Foodland Supermarkets, so you can pick up a few essentials on the way back to your hotel after your meal, too.

Too Fast to Sleep

This 24-hour café and co-working space mainly attracts young people from nearby Chula University looking for high-speed Wi-Fi and a quiet place to study. Notice the chic, minimalist interiors through your drunken haze before heading to the counter to order up a bracing cup of joe. Too Fast to Sleep also offers tea and soft drinks, as well as a selection of cakes and pastries. Those seeking something more substantial will be glad to know that the in-house kitchen offers Thai and international favorites such as fried rice, curries, pastas and salads. Try the pork curry, charge your phone in one of the many available sockets, and then head home.

It’s easy to find something that will satisfy your late night cravings while in Bangkok. Even if you’re inebriated, sleep-deprived, or both, you won’t have to exert a lot of effort just to fill an empty or alcohol-filled stomach during a holiday.

Gray Whales: A Beginner’s Guide to Whale Watching

Do you know that there is a right way to do some whale watching? There are some people who have done some whale watching in different areas wherein they were allowed to touch the whales as if they were in petting zoos.

You should remember that there are millions of people who would like to see whales. If these million people would touch these whales every chance that they get, they might end up hurting the whale. There is a way for you to meet up with whales in a nice way. You can check whale watching San Diego for some details.

Whale watching activity will allow you to go on a guided boat tour or there may be instances when you can go kayaking and see the whales when they are at their natural habitat. No matter what type of whale watching activity you would choose, you need to know a few tips to make whale watching a success.

  • Always check the whale’s behavior before you decide to get in the water.

There are a lot of whales that are considered to be gentle but there may also be some instances when they can show signs of distress. When this happens and you are in the way, you might seriously get hurt. You can leave the area immediately if you think that the whales are acting strangely.

  • Keep your distance from the whales.

It will be tempting to get as close as possible to the whales but you also know that this is not as safe as people make it out to be. When you check the tours that are recommended by Next Level Sailing, you will notice that they are very careful about your distance to the whales. If you find yourself being too close to a whale, try to move away from the whale and get out of the area.

  • Approach the whales from the side.

If you want to get a view of the whales, it is best if you would join them from the side. This will allow you to keep your distance but see them clearly. Whales will probably want to get into deeper waters. Make sure that you are not stopping them from doing that.

With all of these things in mind, whale watching will not be very hard to accomplish for sure.

What is a Hybrid Bike: Guide to Purchasing Your First Hybrid Bicycle

Have you been splitting hairs deciding over what type of bicycle to get for yourself or your kid? Why not just find a hybrid bike? Hybrid bikes take some of the best features of all the different bikes so that you can do it all with a single bike that meets all your needs for all terrains and surfaces.

Well, you can build your own bike too, if you fancy. And you can do that at Six Three Zero. With their unique Customizer feature, you choose your color, speed and accessories, just like a canvas but for your bike, and Six Three Zero will build it for you and deliver it to your doorstep.

A hybrid bike is a good choice if you’re mainly using your bike for commuting to and from work, maybe with the odd bit of recreational riding during the weekend. Hybrid bikes are ideal for riders just getting in to cycling: the best hybrid bikes will be good enough to cope with all sorts of terrain and surface without fuss, hopefully helping you to enjoy your cycling and get more involved in this great sport.

But what should you be looking for to make sure you get the best bang for your buck?

Features to expect on a hybrid bike include:

1. Compared to road bikes, the best hybrid bikes will come with wider tires. The width will vary, but it will generally be something between 28mm and 42mm. Not only will this help to improve comfort, ironing out any rough surfaces, but will also add to the level of grip when the roads are wet.

2. All of the best hybrid bikes should come with eyelets in the frame that will allow it to take a pannier rack.

3. You should also find a hybrid bike that has plenty of clearance between the frame and the tire to enable you to fit mudguards, as well as eyelets so you can fit ones with better coverage, rather than flimsy clip on ones.

Bicycles are freedom. They provide everything that you need – exercise, fun, transportation, and meditation all in one. Before you head to the bike shop to choose your favorite bike from a range of city bikes, hybrid bikes and mountain bikes, it’s helpful if you equip yourself with all the little details that will make the bike buying process easier.

Benefits of Owning A Motorcycle

Owning and riding a motorcycle is an electrifying and enjoyable experience for those who enjoy travelling the road on two wheels. Donning on their mens motorcycle jackets with the cool wind blowing their face and getting the adrenaline rush gushing in their body, these are just some of the thrills of motorbiking for some people.

While riding a motorcycle can be a fun and faster way of getting around compared to taking a car, it presents distinct disadvantages and advantages compared to using a car as you everyday vehicle. For some people, just wanting a motorcycle is good reason enough for buying one. However, there are other benefits to owning a motorcycle other than fulfilling a wish. The following reasons may help you convince others that buying a motorcycle is more than just getting what you want.

Cost: It is obvious that a motorcycle is a much more cost- efficient purchase compared to a car. This is true across various brands and models of moped motorcycles unless you’re looking to buy a superbike, BMW bike or a Harley Davidson. Even the cheapest car costs almost 10 times more than a brand new, typical motorcycle. When it comes to servicing the bike, one can just go to a motorcycle tire shop, which shouldn’t cost a bomb, unlike servicing a car.

Better Fuel Efficiency: With the price of fuel rising, driving a motorcycle can save a substantial amount of money, while being better for the environment. A mid-sized motorcycle usually burns about 35 to 60 mpg, depending on whether you do most of your driving in town or on an open road.

Environmentally Friendly: Motorcycles use less fuel and produce less carbon emissions than four-wheeled vehicles. Enjoy the fresh air in your face while feeling pleased that you are contributing to cleaner air while driving a motorcycle.

Tolls: If you live in a state with plenty of tolls, you can save quite a bit of money by driving on two wheels.

Insurance: Motorcycle insurance is considerably lower than automobile insurance. For those with a good driving record, motorcycle insurance averages a couple hundred dollars a year, while car insurance can easily cost over a thousand dollars. That’s a lot of savings there!

A note of advice: while you ride on your mean machine, don’t forget to don on the appropriate motorcycle apparels for your own safety. These are your motorcycle helmet, jacket, gloves and boots. See more of motorcycle gear by clicking on the link.

Even if some people might not think it is practical to own a motorcycle, riding one is a whole lot of fun besides reaping all the benefits stated above.
