3 Pro Tips for Creating a PDF

 

If you’ve got a large team of remote workers, chances are you’re going to be sending them a lot of PDF files. They’re perfect for getting large amounts of information to several people.

If your employees need to sign something, they can do it right on the document with a single click. If you don’t want your workers to modify the information you send them, you can keep it as a read-only file.

The problem is creating a PDF. There are several ways that you can go about it. That’s why we’re here to walk you through all the necessary steps.

1. Use Your Home Scanner

If you have an all-in-one printer, creating a PDF is a piece of cake. Take your document and place it on the scanner according to the manufacturer’s instructions on the device.

Scan the document and send it off to your computer. From there, it’s a simple matter of saving the document as a PDF file. This is one of the easiest tips for PDF creating there is!

2. Save a Webpage

Let’s say that you’re browsing the internet when you come across a webpage that you want to save. Click on the three little dots in the corner of your browser and select Print.

That will bring up the printer menu. You should see a box that’s labeled “Destination.” When you click on it, you’ll get a whole list of options.

For your PDF creating purposes, you’re going to select “Save as PDF.” Click the little save button in the bottom corner of the screen, and you’ll be good to go.

3. Use a Word Document

A lot of word processing software has tools available that will allow you to save a document as a PDF. There are tons of bells and whistles that you can use. You can choose the quality you want the file to be in and more.

If your program doesn’t have this feature, you’re going to have to get a little more creative. If you’re using a Windows computer, you’ll hold CTRL+P, and on a Mac it’s Command+P.

That will bring up a printer menu. Somewhere in that menu, you’ll see a drop-down box. Select “Save as PDF” and then go through the rest of the prompts to finish out the process.
